Our mission is to proclaim the name of Jesus “Till the Whole World Hears”! This means seeing people’s lives touched and changed by the Lord both here in Lynchburg and all over the world. Already, we have seen many come to salvation and follow the Lord in baptism and discipleship. Numerous marriages have been healed, families have been restored, and countless lives have been impacted through the changing, saving power of the Holy Spirit!
Through all the ministries the Lord has given us, our desire has been to equip, teach, encourage and reach out to everyone we come in contact with—both inside thechurch building and through other media.
The list of our ministries continues to grow, and there are many opportunities for people to develop their relationship with Jesus Christ. The numerous volunteer opportunities within the church also allow people to build friendships and use their God given talents to serve. Calvary Chapel Lynchburg reaches out in ministry and service both within our community and beyond:
- Bible correspondence courses throughout the nation
- Chaplain ministries in our local jails
- Outreaches to local nursing homes
- Radio broadcasting of solid Bible teaching and Christ-centered music here in Central Virginia on Equip FM and around the world through online streaming
- Numerous mission trips every year to Russia, the Philippines, Peru, and other nations that focus on evangelistic, discipleship, and humanitarian outreaches
- Equipping ministry leaders through the Calvary Bible Training program
- Training uneducated pastors throughout Southeast Asia
- Home fellowships that meet once a week around the Lynchburg area
“Till the Whole World Hears” is about continuing the good work God is doing within our church—and through our church. But as we begin to feel the limiting size of our facility, it’s time to build so we can continue to impact lives as we have been doing for the past 17 years.
