Building Program Opportunity
The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity to be part of the next chapter in the life of Calvary Chapel Lynchburg—one that will be enjoyed by many for years to come!
At the beginning of our fellowship, the Lord raised up a special group of people who had the vision to see where a 27-year-old guy from California lead this church. Praise the Lord for those days and for that group of people—many of whom are still with us today!
Several years ago we stepped out in faith to purchase our current building. What a great investment and step that was! The Lord has used this location to help us accommodate more people and train many to be a part of helping “the whole world hear.”
Today we are presented with another opportunity to step forward in faith and joyful giving to see the next phase of ministry become a reality. As we often say, “Where God guides, God provides.” We believe that the Lord has guided us to this decision, and we believe that the Lord will provide through the body of Calvary Chapel Lynchburg. I’m asking each of you to pray about how the Lord wants to use you in this exciting venture.
As we consider the challenge before us, I am reminded of another building project that King David was a part of. The words that he spoke on that occasion apply to our situation today.
14 But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You. 15 For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, As were all our fathers; Our days on earth are as a shadow, And without hope. 16 “O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build You a house for Your holy name is from Your hand, and is all Your own. 17 I know also, my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.
1 Chronicles 29:14–17
Calvary Chape
l Lynchburg has trusted the Lord and walked by faith since the beginning. There hav e been blessings and trials; but by the grace of God we have met every challenge. We pray that we will meet this challenge of faith as well.
This project has the potential to impact the lives of countless people around the world! Whether here in Lynchburg, further out in the United States, or across the seas to southern Asia, we pray that God will use this building as a headquarters to meet with Him and spread the Gospel “till the whole world hears.”
Till the whole world hears,
Pastor Troy Warner
