Ignite – High School

High School is a critical time in a person’s life, when decisions are made that will impact the rest of one’s life. The most critical of these questions is:

“What am I going to do with Jesus Christ?”

Ignite’s vision is to set a fire in the young adults of Calvary Chapel Lynchburg to begin to live their lives for Jesus Christ now, instead of waiting until later in life. We engage the Word of God, verse-by-verse together, with solid Bible-teaching. We learn to pray and worship together through our weekly small groups and monthly home groups. We step out to take the Gospel to world through frequent evangelism, and we teach each student how to walk with the Lord and pass on the faith to others through one on one discipleship.

Ignite meets on Sunday mornings during all services and on Wednesday nights. We participate in worship in the sanctuary and then go to our own classroom for our own service. On the first Wednesday of the month, Ignite joins the rest of the Body in the sanctuary for worship and communion. We also have various events and ministries that we hold every month, with special emphasis placed on our annual Summer and Winter Camps.

For off-campus activities, a permission form will need to be filled out.

Current Studies
Daniel will be teaching this Sunday morning, and on Wednesday evenings we’ll be studying the Word along with small group prayer and worship together. Be sure to bring a notebook and a pen, expecting that God will speak to you! If you have any questions, we will be more than happy to help you out.
