Children’s Ministry

“Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

We place a great emphasis on ministering the love of God to the children at Calvary Chapel. Each service, with the exception of our Sunday evening prayer meeting, offers ministry for the children.

We gather together for kid’s worship each Sunday morning after which each age group moves to it’s own class for Bible study. This includes teaching, games, activities and crafts that are designed to reinforce the Bible lesson of the day. Our weekly take-home-papers let parents know what their child has been studying each week and allows them to reinforce at home the Biblical lessons taught in the classroom.

Calvary Kid’s Club
In the fall, we offer our popular Calvary Kid’s Club during our Wednesday night service. The club meets for Bible study, fellowship and fun! The children study books at home that teach them in a fun format how to come to know and follow Jesus. Each child works at his/her own pace toward specific goals – a patch or pin to display on their CKC vest and a certificate for graduating to the next book. Every other week at CKC we include a ‘Crazy Day’! This might mean wearing a certain color, bringing a teddy bear to church, or bringing in canned goods to feed the hungry, It’s something different each time! The kids (and teachers!) love these nights and always respond with enthusiasm!
